Gino, a 1.5-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mixture, is a strapping young man looking for love! He was surrendered to our shelter when a part of the family became severely allergic to him, but no worries here - Gino goes with the flow and can't wait to find a new fur-ever home. He is playful, friendly and affectionate, and all he wants is a person to see his value as a lifelong friend. Gino will help keep you fit and trim - he absolutely LOVES being active and will really enjoy someone who takes him out for lots of walks, hikes and playtime. This goofball has 1 very funny quirk...he is obsessed with tennis balls! He will literally forego food if he sees 1 nearby, and he could play fetch with 1 for hours without getting the slightest bit bored. A family that can give Gino a consistent and structured home environment with lots of toys and mental and physical stimulation will be best for this guy. He still exhibits some normal young dog behaviors, so he will need some basic training; however, this attractive boy is smart and very receptive, so the training process will be fun for everyone involved. We believe that he may also be crate-trained. Gino has successfully lived with another dog and small children, so we think that he would likely be okay sharing his space with them in a new home; however, we think a cat-free environment would be best for him.
