Meet Hans, 7 years old German Shepherd

Hans was found stray in a fenced in parking lot in the Bayview. Fortunately it was a fenced area because he is visually impaired and would have been in danger in a wide open space. Animal Control gathered him in and hoped that someone would show up to claim him, but no 1 came. He is understandably stressed in the shelter environment, but with a gentle guardian he will come out of his shell in a home. We are recommending a home with a fenced backyard and no small kids . While Hans may be able to live with other dogs in here, we recommend he be the only dog in his new home. Like most Shepherds, he adores people and once he bonds with a person he wants to keep them safe; it can be stressful when another dog comes near his family. Hans weighs about 51lbs.
