He even developed a pretty clear que for his foster within the 1st couple of days - he now goes to the back door and bats at the blinds to let her know he needs out! Crate Training: Nice! He does best at night with a night light, and will go into it and nap during the day on his own Other Dogs: Untested off leash; on leash he either ignores them, or boss them around a little if he's bigger than them Cats: Untested Kids: Dog-respectful kids, eight and older Adoption Donation: $375 Health: Miles is healthy! He is neutered, micro chipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this veterinarian care as well as transportation and general care costs. In addition, all pets adopted from Motley Zoo come with 30 days of free pet insurance provided by Shelter Care. History: Miles found himself in a local WA shelter. Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find him a nice forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! Notes from Miles' Foster Home: Miles is a little sweetheart. For a little dog, he's pretty laid back, not hyper unless you wind him up. He is a bit shy around strangers, he won't go up to greet them, but the only time he barks is if he hears someone at the door. Miles likes being around "his" people, and will follow his foster around the house. He curls up happily on a nearby bed or pillow while his foster works on the computer. He does sometimes get a little anxious when everyone leaves, so his forever family will need to keep an eye on that. Miles has a couple of toys, but doesn't have much interest in them. When his foster plays with him with toys, he loses interest after a couple of minutes. And he has absolutely no concept of "fetch". However, he is a smart little cookie! He comes when his foster whistles, and he does a good "sit". He doesn't have any aggression or guarding tendencies around food, although his foster is working with him on being more gentle when taking treats by hand. His only bad habit is that he thinks he owns the furniture, and will jump up on it without any qualms. If you tell him "down" and point, he will hop off, but then look at you mournfully. He will also jump back up when he thinks you aren't looking. His foster is working with him on breaking this habit, but he'll need continued vigilence if not allowed on the furniture in his forever home. Miles is nice on the leash, and loves loves LOVES going for walks, though he does have to stop and mark every bush, shrub, and tree. He's good with kids that he sees on his walks, he doesn't jump up on them. Miles doesn't have a mean bone in his body and would be a nice pet for someone who's looking for a dog who likes to be cuddled. Is this smart little snuggle buddy the right dog for you? All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs. Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue.
