Meet Star, 10 years old Terrier, Rat
Hello there, I'm Star. I'm an 8 yr old female Rat Terrier mixture. My story's pretty sad. My 2 cocker spaniel sisters and I were found in an abandoned mobile home. We're not sure why our humans left without taking us. My sisters were rescued but I was left behind for some reason. It couldn't be because I wasn't precious enough, cause my new foster mom says I'm just a cutie pie. Couldn't be because I'm not well mannered, cause I am. Couldn't be because I'm not a sweetie, cause I am. Guess it was because I'm not a cocker, but that's ok with me. My new foster mom is really cool. She's teaching me to walk on a leash. She says 1 of the prettiest things about me is the way I cock me head to the side to look to her. It makes her smile every time. If you're ready to smile, contact TLC about me. I promise to make you smile too. UPDATE!! My foster mom says I'm doing so much better on a leash, esp a harness! I'm eating well and really coming out of my shell. I'm fine with other dogs but I would be just as happy being the only dog just as long as I have a human to love me alot! I'm not hyper, but I love to run up to my foster mom and give her lots of kisses! She is the best! My adoption payment is $100 but I'm fully vetted, although I need a dental even though I don't have all that many teeth left. My previous owners didn't take care of my teeth like they should have. We are a RESCUE ORGANIZATION, therefore, please complete your on-line Adoption form which can be found on our website. If you have current pets, they must be spayed and/or neutered, current on their vaccinations, and on Heartworm preventative. Our adoption payment varies. Most of our pets are spayed or neutered prior to being Adopted or a refundable deposit of $50 is required if not already altered. It will be the responsibility of the adopter to have the pet altered and proof returned to the rescue group in order to receive the deposit back and to avoid a fine. They must be kept on Heartworm preventative.
