Meet Taffy - COURTESY POST, 3 years old Beagle

Taffy is an approx 3 yr-old beagle mixture who was rescued by her foster mom from a high-kill animal control just days before she was scheduled to be put to sleep. She is thrilled to be out of the horrible conditions there and will be even more excited to find her forever home! Taffy is extremely sweet and loves to be petted (and luckily for her, she is very soft!) and to give hugs (she stands on her back paws and wraps her front paws around you). She is a fairly laid-back dog and is content to rest (especially if she could snuggle next to her person!), but she also enjoys going for walks and playing with toys and with her foster sister. She would probably do well in almost any situation-from an apartment in the city to a home with a family (although she has not yet been tested with young children). She is working hard on her house breaking and leash walking skills and progressing quickly with both. Taffy is available to the lovable home she deserves for a $100 donation to Chicago Canine Rescue.
