Meet Taylor, 5 years old Chihuahua, Short Coat
My name is Taylor and I can't begin to tell you how I have changed since being rescued from the Kaufman Puppy Mill Raid conducted by the HSUS in August 2009. When I was 1st rescued, I cowered from everyone and hid behind the furniture in my 1st foster Mom's house. I wouldn't even play with the other dogs.Since coming to stay with my 2nd Foster Mom, I have been sitting on my foster mom's lap, sleeping in bed with my foster parents and siblings, playing with 1 of my foster siblings (man do I love playing now) and now I love going on walks with the pack (until I realized what having a leash on meant, I would freeze up, shake and try to pull my head out of my collar when they tried to walk me). My 1st and 2nd foster Mom's say I am a lovable dog and that I need someone who will be patient, loving, spoil me, let me sit on their lap and take me on walks everyday. I believe I prefer a woman to be my pack leader. My foster Dad keeps working on getting me to like being petted, held and walked by him, so who knows maybe I would like a male pack leader, too.I am not a perfect dog, but I truly want a forever home with the person/family that would love me because I am "Taylor" and worth loving and sharing my life.Taylor's adoption charge is $100.00.We are a RESCUE ORGANIZATION, therefore, please complete your on-line Adoption form which can be found on our website. We require an adoption form, veterinarian reference, and a home visit with the pet. if you have current pets, they must be spayed and/or neutered, current on their vaccinations, and on Heart worm preventative. ALL of our pets are spayed or neutered prior to being Adopted. They are UTD on shots, Heart worm negative, & micro-chipped. They must be kept on Heart worm preventative.
