Please welcome Tucker, a attractive, sixteen pound black and white male Shih Tzu who spent his past 8yrs in a puppy mill. While still shy, Tucker is a quick study and is rapidly learning to love and trust. Tucker is a very gentle dog who enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along with everyone. He wants to be with you, happily following you from room to room and laying/cuddling by your side when you sit down. His tail wags now and he has begun giving kisses. Even though he is 8, Tucker acts half his age, happily playing with soft squeak toys and trying to engage the other dogs to play with him. He is working very hard on his housetraining (is almost there) and is learning about the leash so will need someone who will be patient with him as he learns to walk on a leash. Tucker loves to eat (is a member of the clean plate club) and rides wonderfully in the car. He has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. Tucker will make someone a sweet companion and he can't wait to find his own special home. A fenced in yard is a must and another dog to help him transition from breeding stock to pampered pooch would be ideal. Being fostered in Milwaukee, WI.
