Meet Rusty GCMost folks who want an American Bulldog are interested in getting one because we are the SUVs of the dog world. Normally very sporty, utilitarian and vroom vroom vroomy. I am a bit of a rusty clunker rather than a shiney new SUV, but once you get past my previously owned exterior and take a look at the interior, you will be slapping a sold sign on me.I am a lovey dovey male 5 year old American Bulldog mix about 50 pounds. My two front legs have a defurmity that makes them look a little bit shorter and bowed. And dern it, they also make me look super cute like a Lollipop Guild guy from the Wizard of Oz. The Rescue Lady is not sure how I got this way, either from being caged in an odd pawsition or a birth defect.They attempted to do a Forrest Gump on me and installed me with some leg braces, but all those braces did was make me clangy, rub sore spots and make me overall miserabull. I do have a pair of softer leg braces that I wear on occasion that do seem to help me and those will go along in my bag if you adopt me. To add to my miserabull soup, I also had a horribull case of demodex mange, that is the non-contagious kind, I repeat NOT CONTAGIOUS. Seriously, the only thing contagious about me, is my smile. The skin issue left me with some warty growths on my head that are slowly resolving, but still quite noticeabull.That is all cosmetic and you really need to open this book and read it to understand that I am indeed poochy perfection. I LOVE to play with dogs. Admittedly, any size or age of puppy can easily champion me in a race. So if you have a dog that needs a confidence boost, I am your man.In the words of the great Taylor Swift, you cannot spell awesoME without me and I am the only one of me, there will never me another me. Limited edition. I am a dream dog for a couch potato, because I cant go on walks. Well technically I can, but I tucker out after about 100 feet. If you have another dog, we can just spend time in the yard together and you can page thru a magazine while lounging on the veranda. You do have a veranda, dont you?My main hobby is eating, food is one of my passions and that is why I am so robust. I do not enjoy sharing my vittles, so I wait until others are done with the community bowl and then go lie down and eat at my leisure. It would be really cool if I had someone to hand feed me sausages like peasants fed the Egyptian gods with grape clusters. That would be neato.If you want a dog that is personable and loving and will give you loads of love and a huge ear to ear smile, I am the guy for you. In the words of Forrest Gump, I think we would go to twogether like peas and carrots. GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $400 for dogs over a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and may be emailed to adopter prior to dog arrival if desired. Microchips will be automatically registered to the new owner after payment of adoption fee. The registration site we use is Michelson Found Animals which is free to use and update during the lifetime of your pet. Please allow 24-48 hours for the new information to appear on the website.
