Lola comes to us from Oklahoma via the Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago.Lola has been in our care for TWO YEARS.She has been living up at the dane farm with our kennel staff to care for her.We were able to be around her but she kept a distance and really didnt connect with anyone for while. She coexisted well enough with the males but clearly had issues with other female danes. Lola is one of the few that have taken more then a year to see her true nature.Granted she came from a shelterin Chicago with an unknown past. What I do know is that she has MANY scars on her body and a horrible ear crop job. These are only the outer wounds we see on lola but considering how long it has taken for her to trust me. I would say she went through some very tough times. She is a survivora worrier that has finally reached a point in her life that she can trust. She can finally show her true colors. If you can look past appearances and are willing to put the work in for this girl. She will not let you down.She LOVES attention and cuddles ,food.Lola loves running the fenced yard and playing rough with the boys, she has a high prey drive and is not too fond of other female dogs. She's a dane that still needs a lot of training and direction since she has not been in a home setting for quite some time.Her struggles: Female Dogs , Meeting new people and relearning a home life.What she will need is an active individual with a deep heart willing to put in the work and help build her a new life with you.
