Black Lily Ann is a gorgeous young Lab that is estimatedto be 9 months to 1 year old and weighs about 40 pounds. She was found with a group of young dogs that we assume were her siblings, on an isolated rural Tennessee road where there were no homes or much car travel; dumped where no one would see. This girl is understandably shy and yet you can see in her eyes and body language that she is desperately wanting to be loved. This group of young dogs were just discovered right after Labor Day and it took days to catch them all. Black Lily Ann is getting better every day in her foster home and we know that she will blossom if she has a good one on one adoptive home to help her become more secure. She has no aggression at all with other dogs or people. Just the fear factor that is slowly peeling away. She is learning so much at a fast pace and one thing we know is that she likes to curl up and put her tooshy up in the air while you pet her. She seems to feel like she is less deserving and is always the last one in the group to get food or a treat. Her foster mom feels that she must have been the runt in her litter and therefore submits to everything and everyone. But she survived all that and more. She needs a home where they have time to do basic training with patience and love and not in a hurry for fast results. When she gets adopted we see her flourishing quickly. You can see her beauty and there is a deep abiding sweetness about her. She loves her peanut butter kongs and has a great future ahead of her with great potential to be a star companion for someone or some family.
