American Pit Bull Terrier-Border Collie Mix Dog for Adoption in Chico, California, 95926 USNickname: SOLO Posted Breed: Border Collie / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. I'm Solo! I came to Wags and Whiskers because my owner got in trouble and their family was unable to house me due to my size. I have a lot to learn still, and staff here are helping me to try to learn some basic commands, I've finally got "sit" down! I am potty trained, but after being at the rescue for a while, I might need a little patience and a few days to get back on a routine of being let out regularly. I do well with other dogs my size or larger that share my energy level, but I prefer to be fed alone, since I get super protective of my food around other dogs; I'll gladly eat in a crate or in a separate room. I love to chase cats, so please don't apply for me if you like your kitties. I have proven well with respectful kids as young as 7 so far, but I do pull the leash still, so kids shouldn't hold my leash by themselves yet.
