Meet Junior A SUPER sweetie who was surrendered by his abusive owners to Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control. They were going to euthanize the sweet mush, and we could not turn our backs on him. Right away we noted that he was “wiggly” – you know how sometimes a dog wags not just their tail, but their entire back end so that they look like a wriggling noodle? – this is a sign of a SUPER happy pup, despite what he’s been through. He is a favorite of the volunteers – they say he is “over-the-top friendly,” happy on his walks, responds quite well to commands, does VERY well playing with other dogs outside, and basically is everything you could hope for in a dog. In the shelter, the dogs have very little positive stimulation (think toys, pets, a comfy home, etc.). Thus, Junior has been trying to learn how to be a real dog again. He couldn’t want anything more than a family of his own, his own bed, his own toys, his own identity. We love him so much, we want to see him go to a good home because that is literally all he needs!!
