Sex: MaleBreed: German Shepherd xEstimated Birth Date: 11/06/2022Cardamom (lovingly coined Cardi-B by our staff) and his 6 siblings started their very young lives in the shelter at just a few weeks old. We got them and their mother out so they could all have a chance at life. Puppies don’t belong in shelters. They lose out on the training and social skills a home environment provides. Almost all of these lucky pups landed amazing homes but Cardamom has lingered through no fault of his own so it was time for us to give him a little more so he can finally get adopted. Cardamom has joined the dogs going into our Pawsitive Change program at North Kern State Prison. What he learns during his 3 month long stay will be invaluable. Already an incredibly sweet and social dog, Cardamom has a wonderful temperament, he just needs the training prison will provide. Those basic obedience tasks will even out his puppy antics and give him the manners most families want. Who doesn’t want a trained dog?Once he’s completed the program Cardamom will be looking for a fun loving family to call his own. He’s fantastic with other dogs so a canine playmate or two would be wonderful too. He’s very affectionate loves all kinds of attention and will keep you entertained with games of fetch and summer pool games. He really is a good boy and we’re extra hopeful that this training will finally land him a great family.
