Bear has been ours since he was a pup, and his brother/litter mate we took in after we moved cross country. They are soon to be 4 years old. Bear is happy, joyous, and energetic. Moose is aloof, shy, and cuddly. Bear has been to puppy obedience school, but has the attention span of a goldfish. He is very smart, but requires a lot of attention. Moose was attacked by his litter when he was a puppy, and I’m not sure he ever fully recovered. Bear knows sit, lay down, shake, heel and get out. Moose knows sit and get out. They are both house trained, but are not above grabbing something tasty off the kitchen counter. We’re rehoming them because we love them and we don’t have a fence on our mountainous property. Our children are now older/moved out and don’t spend time with them. We both work/commute, so they do not get the attention they deserve. They are excellent running & hiking pals. We have tried expensive satellite collars and pet perimeters, but they need a full time fence and owners.
