Bio: Bam Bam is looking for a very special home for the holidays, and forever more. This handsome fella is a shy guy in need of extra TLC, whose love will reward you in a major way. Bam Bam joined a Texas rescue after being confiscated from a cruelty case, and made the trip to Wisconsin in late October. We can only guess what this guy endured prior to being saved, and he requires time and patience to get comfortable in new situations. Bam Bam loves other dogs, and we will only be considering applications from folks who have another resident dog or dogs. They are his teachers, and show him that its okay to get close to his humans and will help him get into a routine. He is very sweet, but also very cautious in new situations. He will try to avoid his people most times when approached, but is sweet and never reacts negatively if you need to pick him up to provide care. Things that have helped him open up in his foster home are sleeping in bed with his humans/the other dogs, and of course treats. Bam Bam does crate while his people are at work, but will let out excited barks to greet them upon their arrival home. Over time, Bam Bam starts to request pets- approach with kisses, pick up toys, and show you that he is learning how to “dog”. We believe in complete transparency, and the following will require continued dedication in his forever home -house training -leash training -nail training- meaning: Bam Bam has very long quicks likely due to lack of nail trims in his early life. Routine nail trims are necessary to keep him comfortable. While nail trims are not his favorite thing, as with other tasks he is sweet throughout the process. *Bam Bam will need a fully fenced yard for his safety. Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc.
