Saturn is a handsome one-year old male Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on December 14, 2023 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Earley Ridge Road in the New Matamoras Ohio area. Saturn was wearing a flea collar but no regular collar .. So there was no form of identification in order for us to locate his family .. And he was not microchipped. This good-looking young man has a black short smooth coat, white markings on his chest, white paws, a long tail, and an adorable symmetrically-marked face with hopeful trusting eyes, a black button nose, and large semi-erect ears. The Good Samaritan who found Saturn reported that he appeared to be good with other animals and also with children. He did not seem to be housetrained. Saturn has a friendly, easygoing personality. He was a pleasure to photograph when HSOV Volunteer/Board Member Tracy Moore spent time with him on the afternoon of December 16th while he had his Petfinder/Facebook photos taken. Saturn loved hearing that 'he was such a good boy' and looked to Tracy for guidance with posing and smiling for the camera. Saturn currently weighs 61 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Saturn will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
