WHITNEY is a calm, delicate, easy-going gal, who takes just a minute to warm up to new people. We understand all too well the anxiousness some of our new pups feel when they first experience the sights, smells, and sounds that is a shelter environment. This 8-12-month-old Labrador Retriever mix made a lovely impression on our volunteers, however! Our dedicated volunteers Darlene Petersen and Emily Coleen Fitzhugh spent an afternoon with Whitney and our other new "fur kids on the block." Whiney blossomed while hanging out with Darlene & Emily and our amazing photographer Hannah Sterling Langham. Whitney is described as "the perfect lady," who sits for treats and gently takes her reward. She is likely house trained, as she potties soon after going outdoors. She accepts affection readily, especially if you take a knee as she approaches. If you are looking for a family pet, or a sweet companion, Whitney would be wonderful in either capacity. She will continue to blossom and flourish once surrounded by the love of a family. You may meet this sweet soul during our visiting hours: Mon, Wed-Fri 10am-3:30pm or Tues 1:30pm-3:30pm. Or, please call our front desk at 228-466-XXXX to schedule an appointment. Please bring your kiddos and dog(s) along for the visit to ensure compatibility. Whitney's adoption fee is $75, which includes deworming, spaying, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test, and a free vet check with one of our participating veterinarians. An approved adoption application always applies!
