Heat Miser is a handsome one-year old male German Shepherd mix who was brought to the HSOV on December 15, 2023 by a Good Samaritan who found him on State Route 339 in the Beverly Ohio area (close to the Washington County/Morgan County Ohio line). Heat Miser was accompanied by a beautiful white female German Shepherd (Snow Miser) who is likely his sister. Unfortunately neither Heat Miser nor Snow Miser were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped. Heat Miser has a black-and-tan coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with a tan mask, expressive brown eyes, a slender muzzle, and large floppy ears. Both of these overgrown puppies have gentle friendly dispositions. They are understandably pretty frightened youngsters after finding themselves in an unfamiliar place with people that they don't yet realize are their new best friends. Heat Miser weighs 44 lbs. Neither Heat Miser nor Snow Miser appear to have had any leash training, but they are intelligent youngsters who will quickly master that new skill. Thanks to HSOV Executive Director Amy Rogers and HSOV Volunteer/Board Member Tracy Lynn for teaming up to take Heat Miser and Snow Miser together for their photo sessions on December 16th. Heat and Snow were still apprehensive but definitely more comfortable with each other by their side. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Heat Miser and Snow Miser were held for three days so that their family would have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership.
