#### Lilly is a 6 year old Rat Terrier who weighs 14 pounds. She was born on Halloween and she is terrifyingly CUTE! She loves to play with other dogs and needs another dog in her home to help her continue to grow. With the people she is comfortable with, she is starting to play and demand butt scratches and belly rubs. Her circle of human friends is small right now, but it is growing as her confidence builds. She is not comfortable being pet or approached by strangers. She will take some time to adjust to new people and new environments, and needs an adopter who will be patient with her and take things at her pace. She loves going outside and gets the zoomies. She is the picture of happiness. She will follow her human friends around the yard. So much so, that she will even try to hop 3ft fences to be with them. Therefore, her yard will need a 4ft secure fence to help keep her safe as she runs and plays. Her new doggy sibling will help her learn to walk on a leash.If you are interested in meeting Lilly, please apply at NMDR.org- - - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
