Viva is a sweet and shy girl! She has been through a rough start in life and is shy with new people at first. Viva loves her humans, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes. Viva is even tested good with cats. Viva has a good temperament and has lots of love to give! She is doing very well in her foster home and ready for a forever home. Viva started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining. Viva rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands. We are looking for a committed family that will continue to socialize/train her to help her build confidence. VIVA’S RESCUE STORY: Poor Viva was living as a stray dog in the mountain. She was rescued by a volunteer of a TNR rescue group. The rescue has a temporary rundown place for the dogs. TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and the dogs are released to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with their dogs. The land where they kept the dog can no longer be used and they had to evacuate all dogs and return them back to the streets to live as stray dogs. The founder of the rescue organization has over 150 dogs waiting for homes. However, she could not bear to see them starving and suffering on the streets. She agreed to take Viva and her buddies home and give them a chance in life. Viva had a thorough medical checkup. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests. Please give Viva a loving home to grow up.
