She came to SFCR after being retired from a life of breeding. Amelia is working hard to build her confidence and learn what being a dog should be all about. Loud noises and fast, sudden movements startle her. A low-key household without small children would be ideal for her. Amelia is working on her housetraining, but it is still a work in progress and something she will need additional help with. She really loves to be in her foster mom's lap and will snooze on her chest for hours if allowed to do so. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Confident resident dog to help teach Amelia how to "dog". Patient family willing to give Amelia the time she needs to acclimate as well as help her build confidence. Amelia has been spayed and also had a dental. She is tested negative for heartworm and tick- borne disease, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450 plus tax.
