Jilly was abandoned at the shelter as just a young puppy, and passed over again and again because she simply didn't show well in her kennel. She was just so, so excited to meet people! And can you imagine only being let out of a 4x4ft kennel for 10 minutes a day? Because adopters kept passing her up, eventually she landed on the euthanasia list, simply for being at the shelter too long. SSR wouldn't let her story end at the shelter, though. Jilly is absolutely loving her newfound freedom, toys, comfy bed, and foster siblings. Unfortunately, because her previous owners treated her so poorly, it's taking a lot for Jilly to learn to trust people. But our rescue is working with her diligently, step-by-step to ensure that she does, and will be with her until she finds her perfect forever family.
