If you’re looking for a handsome and goofy dog who can always put a smile on your face, then Benny is your guy! This sweet boy is a 2-year-old Dogo Argentino mix currently weighing around 87 pounds. He was originally brought into the rescue as a 10-week-old pup after being hit by a car and had FHO surgery to help repair the injury. Thankfully, the surgery was a success, and he has since recovered well with the help of physical therapy. Benny has a calm, lazy, demeanor but still enjoys playtime. His favorite pastimes include naps, watching TV, and soaking up the sun. While Benny gets along with other dogs, he doesn’t like to share his food or treats so it’s important he is fed separately from other dogs and prefer he’s in a home able to separate Benny from other dogs while pet guardians are away. Benny is house trained and crate trained. Slow dog introductions are essential, and training is available for a foster-to-adopt or forever family. Benny is seeking a family in the central FL area, preferably with a fenced-in backyard. Giant breed experience is a plus.
