Meet Sammy! This special little senior boy is 11-12 years old and is an adorable mix of Cairn Terrier, Jack Russell and possibly chihuahua. Sammy has been with TRI since December 17, 2022 and what a joy he has been. Sammy has allergies that we were working through, and he's ready now to find his forever home! Sammy has a silly personality ten times bigger than his 12 pounds. His fur will never grow back on his belly or around his neck, so he hopes you don't mind his messy look (we think it's adorable of course!). His face will melt your heart. Sammy has been great with with all of his foster canine siblings. He will spend endless hours outside if you let him. Sammy loves toys and wants to play with his humans by throwing the toys for him. Sammy can't wait to meet his family!Adoption processIf you are interested in meeting and adopting one of our dogs, you must be at least 18 years of age. Our adoption process begins by completing an application, which can be found on our website, or you can contact us at XXXX@gmail.com. Your application will be reviewed and someone will contact you for a phone interview and possible meet and greet. We will also check personal and vet references and conduct a home visit. Once your application is approved, an adoption contract is entered into. Adoption fee varies based on the amount of medical care that the dog requires. Fees range from $250 to $400. Fee Includes: Basic age-appropriate shots (DHPP or DHLPP, Rabies, Bordetella) Spay/Neuter Fecal/Worming Heartworm test (if animal is old enough) Heartworm prevention Flea prevention (as needed) Microchipping Other medical treatment as neededShelter locationWe are a foster-based rescue and place our animals into safe, secure foster homes while awaiting permanent homes.
