My name is Helios and I am a 1-year-old, 65 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am still young and need to be crated when left home alone. I do well with both men and women after slow introductions. I find people scary and take time to warm up. With my family, I am affectionate and loving! I like to be near my people and spend quality time with you. I’d do best in a low traffic home with few visitors. I love other dogs and would thrive with a confident canine sibling to help show me the ropes—I follow other dogs’ leads and guidance well. I have a rougher play style and can be pushy for interaction with other dogs as I’m still learning social cues, so a tolerant dog who offers appropriate corrections would be ideal. I will happily play a game of fetch with you and enjoy having toys available such as nylabones or plush toys. I have also done well with cats. I like car rides and have been doing well with my leash training, sometimes I need a reminder not to pull. I am nervous on walks so we have been working on confidence building. I have learned sit, down, and come. I would love to find an adoptive family willing to continue my training and socialization so I can learn the world isn’t as scary as it seems.
