Great Pyrenees Mix Dog for Adoption in Santa Cruz, California, 95062 USNickname: JACKIE* Posted Breed: Great Pyrenees / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Jackie! This gorgeous gal came to the Shelter after her previous guardian was moving and unable to take her with them. This gentle giant can be nervous with new people but, once comfortable, is a sweetheart. She has lived with children 12 years and under, men and women in her previous home. Although Jackie has not lived with another dog, she has gone on playdates with many dogs. Jackie tends to prefer the attention of people over other animals. A home with another dog may be a fit provided they meet at the Shelter prior to adoption. Jackie has not lived with cats and has seen them from a distance. From a distance, she is interested but does not react. Jackie has a history of being house trained in her previous home. She also knows âsitâ, âdownâ and is learning âstayâ. Adopters are recommended to continue bonding with Jackie through positive reinforcement training on new life skills and manners. Adopters are recommended to do some research into livestock guardian breeds prior to adoption.
