Hi everyone, I’m Stella and I can’t wait to meet you. I love people, but know how to politely greet them and love getting physical affection. I like to chase balls, and then leave it there!.I love to play tug and tell you how much while we’re playing (vocal). Here’s more info from the “hot dog lady,” or I guess she’s called the behavior specialist or something. Stella is an adult dog with moderate energy. Stella tolerated all body handling well including tail pull and mouth check. Stella is very engaging and polite in her interactions with people. She can be crated and does ride well in the car. Like most dogs, Stella loves treats and takes them politely. Stella walks nicely on leash when held accountable for polite leash walking. She does respond to verbal and leash corrections usually on the first try. Stella was surrendered because her owner had too many animals. She recently had a litter of pups and is ready to be done with mama duties. Stella can be fence reactive initially, but then moves to more soft/playful behavior. She has met several other dogs and is quick to correct them. She has not really initiated play yet. Slow introductions are best. She will need further evaluation with dogs to determine her compatibility as a packmate. We are asking for a strong, confident leader/handler that she can trust to guide her through this next chapter.
