Doxie-Pin Dog for Adoption in Denver , Colorado, 80222 USNickname: Crusoe Posted Breed: Dachshund / Miniature Pinscher / Mixed. Crusoe is ready to be the center of your world! He is an approximately 6 year-old, 14 lb Dachshund mix. He is a little spitfire who loves playing with his toys, leashed walks, car rides, watching the world through the window and being at your heels. Crusoe was found as a stray and came to CCFR with missing fur and in need of a dental. He has since been cleaned up and his true personality is starting to shine! Crusoe loves humans but he doesnt enjoy sharing with other dogs. Because he resource-guards food, toys, and humans and he is intimidated by dogs that are larger than him (even submissive ones) he would do best in a home where he can be the only dog. Crusoe should be ok with respectful children 12+ who allow him space when he needs it. He is potty trained and does great on a leash so he does not necessarily need a fenced yard. He does bark though so shared walls may not be the best fit. All fenced yards must be completely secure; he will try to wiggle or dig his way through any openings. He would thrive in a home where his humans are frequently home. Crusoe hasn't always had it easy but he is ready to be loved by his forever family and treated like the little prince he is. We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Crusoe is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $350 and we are not doing any out of state adoptions.
