Will not do well with children, but does very well with other dogs, unsure with cats. Ashton has a tough time meeting new people, especially in his home, and would need some steady training to reduce this aggressive behavior, which we have been working on – and has been improving, but definitely needs more work. He is extremely loving to his family and would sit in his owner’s lap all night if he was able. He enjoys long walks, and there has been no aggressive behavior while walking unless someone attempts to say Hello or approaches too quickly. He has no desire to play fetch OR play with any toys, but he does love his treats. He does very well with basic commands – Sit, Down, Come. He doesn’t tend to go to far from his owner, and have never seen him dash through the door. He loves his bed and blanket and will sleep a solid 8 hours in his own crate. He needs about 24-48 hours to warm-up to his family – but then he will be your forever friend. He is a great pup for the right family. At this time, we will only be able to process applications that have an excellent current vet history. If you haven’t had a pet or verifiable vet history we will not be able to process your application.
