Shy (also nicknamed Plushy or Freckles) is a beautiful short haired female with a coat so incredibly soft it feels unreal. If you are calm and patient, it doesn't take long to win her trust. Once she warms up to you, she LOVES you, and welcomes you to put your arms around her and feel your blood pressure stabilize!She walks very well on leash, loves to stroll, and does great walking with other dogs around the neighborhood and park. She likes to fetch, play in a doggie splash pool, play with a rope toy, zoom and prance about the yard. She is crate trained and sleeps in a crate at night to maintain her house training. If you need a pet to boost your morale, or an emotional support buddy, please consider Shy. Stop in for a meet n greet (Tue-Thurs. 1-4pm, Friday 1-6pm, Sat-Sun 1-4) and be patient! It may take a couple visits before she shows you her awesome real self! Watch her video to see that in action. On your way over to Terre Haute Humane Soc. , pick up a large crate and a soft bed to be her "home base" at night, or when you're away. This can help with the transition tremendously!
