Maggie is between 8-10 years old, 16 lbs. and a very loving, female spayed dog. She would be best in a home where she could get lots of attention - good with children and other dogs she would thrive in a quieter home with a non dominant dog or only dog. She has a blind eye, and is on daily drops with a specific diet that works great for her that should be adhered to. She is one of the sweetest dogs that you could ever know who loves attention and hugs! She’s on Farmers chicken recipe food refrigerated at Target, mix that with a tablespoon of Fromms in turkey pate and she loves and tolerates it. Maggie is housebroken, but if she is not maintaining a good diet, she will have accidents. Some tummy issues. Maggie is a very affectionate, sweet dog, who loves attention. She currently lives in a house with two other dogs, and a ferret that she actually is friendly with. She’s great with my two grandchildren who are eight and nine years old. Maggie is a wanderer, and though she stays close to the house if you are with her, unless your house is totally fenced in with a narrow fence, she will walk right through the fence and wander away. As such, she would do best in a home with a completely fenced in property, where she cannot escape. Maggie has displayed preference for certain food, and she is now on a great diet that she must adhere to to maintain her regularity. She also is blind in her left eye, and will need someone who is willing to maintain her doctor visits and give her the drops that she needs.. Maggie takes two eye drops daily- one for dry eye $60 and the other one Ketorolac $13.85, for her blindness. Each bottle lasts a month. In return she is the most affectionate, sweetest dog ever, and would be best in a calm environment.
