Scout 1 year old This is a great dog! His foster mom has started his training and with a little more work he will be PERFECT. He is very energetic and a fenced backyard is mandatory and another dog to play with would be a plus. He goes through spurts of playing followed by downtime napping. Settles down well, but needs toys to chew on or he can be destructive. Will need to have a crate if left inside alone. He greets people well in a calm manner without jumping. He is completely house trained and knows how to ask to go outside. He also loves to sit & lay by his person. Since Scout is so young, he will need some adjustment time for your household. Home visit required before adoption. Current foster mom is available for all questions at any time, and will take him back if there are any issues and he does not work out with your family. He would be fine in a home with young kids that respect dogs. $100 adoption fee start the process by filling out an application on our website https://graingercountyhumanesociety.org/available-dogs Out of respect for our foster’s time and privacy we do NOT arrange meet and greets without an application on file. Therefore the first step in our adoption process is to fill out the form on our website. We have one form that is printable and one that is an on-line fillable form. Our agency is ran by volunteers.
