Sweet sensitive Senior Bessie is looking for a forever home! This 9 year old scruffy mix was surrendered when her owners had no place to live with her, and it sounded as though she had been bouncing around in a bit of an unstable and unsafe living situation for quite a while. She’s nervous at first but bonds closely to her people and then craves attention and belly rubs. She can be a bit anxious and barky at first and seems to be trying to tell you what she wants, but just needs time to settle into a new routine. She’s fine with other respectful dogs and a portly girl right now but should be around 25-30lbs at a healthy weight. She was said to be a wheaten/basset mix? But other than the short legs we don’t see if and think she looks more like some kind of Westie or other terrier mix, and or maybe even an Eskie-poo? She does NOT have a nonshedding coat and would not be a match for allergy sufferers. Please email XXXX@cs.com to meet Bessie in Northern NJ if you can give her the stable loving home she deserves. Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location.
