Hi I am Jake, As you can see, I am just a puppy. And yes, I only have one eye, but it does not stop me from doing anything I want to do. I have lots to learn about being a good boy, but I already am a cutie-pie. I am a cuddler and love to be petted.Of course, I love to play with all the dogs and cats at my house. Sometimes I am a little rough with the cats and they run away from me. I was rescued from a group of children who were hurting me (that’s how I lost my eye) but I seem to have forgotten about all that because I still like to play with kids. I know how to walk on a leash, but I would prefer to just run as fast as I can. I don’t have too many toys but almost anything can be a good toy to play with. I spend a lot of time outside but when I am inside, I know that I need to do my business outside. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.Adoption processOur adoption process is on our website at: https://hope4lapawz.org/adoption-process/ Once approved, we establish transport for your dog and work out delivery which is usually to an airport near your city (unless you are here in La Paz). Adoption fees are $400 USD and transport fees are typically a flat $300 to any city that Alaska Airlines flies direct from San Diego. Adoptions for dogs to be living in Mexico are $1500 + Transport Fees. Dogs traveling outside of Mexico are certified and have all appropriate documentation, shots, tests, and exams. In addition to the rescuing and medical rehabilitation of these dogs, we have regular training classes for the dogs to encourage socialization as well as leash and crate training while they are in their foster homes awaiting adoption. Our adoption team supplies information, and tools, recommended training books. They also perform periodic adoption follow ups and assistance for adoptive families. We want each of our dogs to be set up for success in their new home. Our goal is to provide adopters with a complete package of rescue, care, and adoption support to promote a successful, happy life for you and your new dog.
