Watson is a four month-old lab mix puppy born to a stray dog in South GA. She came in many months earlier with a previous litter and was pregnant with his litter. The group that found her was able to find a rescue for her puppies before she had Watson’s litter of four. We now have Mom, Blakely, and the four puppies, and we are looking for homes for all of them. We were lucky to find fosters for all, and they’re getting wonderful training and care. If you have the time to train a puppy and would like to foster to adopt Watson, please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com and apply.FROM THE FOSTER: Watson is a sweet, handsome, curious guy who loves his people and wants to be with his people. He would love to be in a forever home where someone is around much of the day. He is affectionate and loves praise and attention and rubs. He also likes to play chase with his sister. He does not pull on a leash which is so nice on walks. He does get tired and plop down on quiet streets but walks really well on sidewalks and does not flinch at traffic. He will become an excellent walker and running partner (when older) with a little bit of individualized attention. All indications are that he is extremely trainable and food motivated. He is successful at waiting to get outside to use the potty. He doesn't love going into his crate (yet) and settling but is getting better. He wants to be with his people and is happiest when he can be with them and see them when in his crate. Once he is completely housebroken and trustworthy to not chew, he would love to follow his people through the house and lay at their feet. We have discovered that he loves certain Kong toys and we are able to redirect his chewing with those. He and his sister are amazing with our two girls (ages 8 and 10 who are very comfortable with dogs) and with our very large dogs. They have also been great with kids and adults that they meet when we are walking and also with dogs that walk past us when we are out. They do well with new people who come into our house. Watson would make a terrific family member for an active family who wants a very large dog and is willing to give a puppy lots of love, attention, exercise and training! He is a smart boy and would love spending exercise and training time with his people.##1796387##
