Moose was so matted that he was shaved down to his skin, so his hair is growing out. Moose is skittish of the leash if approached when he is watching you. However, he will allow you to put it on and then allow you to lead him anywhere needed. He doesn't particularly care to be outside at this point. Moose loves his sundown, nighttime and early morning walks and will just lumber along at any pace that you like without pulling. He has encountered cats and squirrels on his walks and pays them no mind. Amazingly, Moose seems to be housetrained! So far, Moose is a very gentle giant and has been very calm and quiet here. We can definitely say that Moose is not aggressive towards us in any way. We take things calmly around him and give him lots of loving and kisses up by his unshaved head and snout. He has met individuals on his walks in the evening and wants to go up and say hi. He does not bark or jump on them. He slobbers on them, but he slobbers a lot, lol. He does not seem interested in the cats or squirrels that he passes on his walks. Sometimes, he will wander over to the open crate and just lie in there to sleep, but the door has never been closed. He has been left alone for about 4 hours each day he has been with us and no issues in the house. Moose does NOT like the car; he gets scared and anxious and needs a safe place when going for rides.
