Meet Carter! We are still getting to know this cute little scruffy boy. At the shelter, Carter walks well on leash, is calm and curious. He has been with good with volunteers and he enjoys petting, rolls over for belly rubs and if you invite him on your lap he will go on your lap and enjoy more petting. He is a gentle treat taker. He is head shy if you try to put a slip lead over his head or remove it but you can do it. Carter needs people to understand he needs them to go slow and allow him time to trust before he allows petting.April 25, 2024, 10:37 pmAdoption processAll of our animals come fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered (if old enough), and microchipped. Puppies and kittens will be spayed/neutered and have all shots when they are old enough. There is an Adoption application, a quick phone interview to make sure it is a good fit, a meet and greet with the dog, then a home check, and an adoption contract. We ask for a $400 donation for adult dogs, and $500 for puppies at the time of adoption so that we can save other dogs from the shelter.
