Sex: Female Color: Red & White Eye Color: Bi-eyes, one brown and one blue Birthday: March 26th, 2022 Weight: 42lbs Large Dog Friendly: Yes Small Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: Unknown Crate Trained: Yes. The door is always open so she can go in whenever she wants/needs to. She is crated when we are gone. Goes right in with a treat and settles down. Housebroken: Yes. Had accidents a couple of times when she first arrived. We are working on her cues for going outside. Energy Level: High. She is still a puppy. Reaction to New People: Shy and nervous at first, but warms up quick. May bark when first meeting new people. Kid Friendly: Yes Training: She knows a few basic commands. She has a tendency to jump when excited, but has made great progress to stop and listens to the down command. Grooming Needs: Typical Husky grooming needs. Will tolerate the brush in small doses. Fence: She does well on a tie out system as well in our dog run with a 5.5 foot fence. Solo or Siblings: She would do best with another dog who is confident but had been a solo dog before she was surrendered. From the foster: Bailey is your normal young husky. She loves to play with her foster sisters. Sometimes she can be a pest to them when they want to take a break. She is still a puppy and learning our routine, besides her foster sisters are pretty lazy huskies. She loves our 2 mile walks and enjoys all the sniffs and smells out there. She loves to chase frogs and chipmunks as usually they match her energy. She loves her people and enjoys snuggling and would be happy to share your couch or bed. Adoption fee: $400 All dogs coming into Adopt a Husky Minnesota receive care tailored to their needs, including: Nose-to-tail exam with a partner veterinarian, Vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella), 4DX test to check for heartworm or tick exposure, Fecal Analysis, Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative, Spay/Neuter prior to adoption, Microchip, and are evaluated for temperament and trainability.
