Mercedes is a female Maltese mix around a year old. She is spayed, current on age appropriate vaccines including rabies & microchipped. She weighs around 8lbs. Mercedes originally landed at PACC after being taken in as a stray. When she arrived at Pathways, she was terrified & unsure. It took her a couple weeks to learn she was safe & come out of her shell. Now that she is comfortable, she is a happy, playful girl who gets along with other dogs, loves toys & is learning to like being picked up/held. We are unsure about cats. We do think she would do well in a low-key, slow traffic home while she adjusts, again, to a new environment & routine. She is working on potty training & will use potty pads. She will need to go to a home with a secured, attached yard where she can learn to walk on a leash/harness safely. She will need patience, understanding & time with her new family to come out of her shell!
