Sassette Smurfette and her litter of 10 were abandoned at a vacant country home a few hours outside of Wichita to survive on their own when rescued by the sheriffs department. Introducing Mama Sassette Smurf, who certainly lives up to that name. She was found abandoned with all ten of her puppies. She is a definite lovebug who is getting some weight on her. She is young, a bit mouthy at times (we have been working on it). She likes to try and get my attention by grabbing my arm. Just something to be aware of. She has sit down, if you have a toy. She seems to hoard toys and be a bit possessive of them (at least with her pups). She met my resident dog in an oops moment and did great. I think no gate/barrier helps greatly with her. She is getting better with leash walking until she sees something new and really wants to check it out. We are working on learning to chew toys when we are bored and not other things like boxes and doggie beds... lol! Not highly treat motivated but makes up for that in her love of toys! Super sweet, energetic young girl who needs a little structure in her life to learn better manners. She hasn't met a stranger she didn't like. Suffers from happy tail frequently and definitely wants as much attention as she can get. Most importantly, she would like an actual couch she can curl up on.
