Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are purebred to purebred. OURS ARE!!! I personally own 4 generations of NSDA Registered 100% Miniature Australian Shepherds. My cocker spaniel is 100% purebred as well. Her parents are in So California as well. This is a very hard hybrid to get and an amazing price! These puppies will be a breeze to train and aim to please, they will be great with kids and they will be love bugs just like their parents! When grown, they will be around 20-30 lbs, 13-18in at shoulder, their coat will be short- medium in length and won't require too much grooming. Both parents have very soft, velvety fur. Some claim hybrid dogs are healthier, because you are mixing up the gene pool. Many breeders of hybrids believe in what is called the heterosis effect and hybrid vigor. Vigor means, "Physical or mental strength, force or energy."The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. The feedback we have received on this breed has been unbelievable!! You can see the FB page for the comments from current owners. They have recommended friends and family to purchase. Even families from my first litter asking when our next litter will arrive. The Cotralians have proven to me that they are a perfect mix of the two breeds...loving, family oriented, and beautiful (Cocker) and intelligent, highly trainable, and active (Aussie) dogs!!!
