Havanese puppies are a rare toy breed, and range in size from about 9 lbs to 13 lbs. This was a litter of 5 males. We have 2 left. Right now there is a few ounces difference in weight between the two, but they are otherwise nearly identical in looks and temperment. Their dam is a roly poly 13 lbs, and dad is 9 lbs. Havanese are a long haired breed, with characteristic silky, cottony hair. In other countries they are known as Havana Silk Dogs or Bichon Havanais. They are hypoallergenic and non-shedding. This breed has few genetic health risks, and are very good indoor/apartment dogs. As such, they are the #2 dog owned in New York City. They rarely bark and are easily trained. They are extremely devoted to their people. Ours are not leash trained because we have never needed a leash for them. Ours never stray. They are extremely happy dogs - ALL the time(!) without being super high energy. DOB Sept 20, 2012. They are using a doggy door right now and are completely potty trained that way. Housebreaking them should be fairly straightforward since they already understand to potty outside. They just need to learn to tell you when they need out. They have been raised on Iams puppy, and I suggest owners continue with that food, or Eukanuba or Science Diet for best results during at least the first full year.These boys are current on vaccinations and worming and are fully socialized to be family pets. They come with AKC puppy papers. I usually ask $550 each, then if the owners send me their veterinary certificate of neutering by age 1 year, I will refund $100 to them, making their price $450. I will consider full breeding rights, but the price jumps to $1200, and I will not sell to "breeders". I want them to have families, not live in a kennel. I also always give breeder support and like to keep in touch with people who have my pups - they can call at any time for help with their puppies and to ask any questions. I do accept credit card payment as well as check or cash. I can deliver them.
