Description:
We have a 6 year old Siberian husky, which is an absolutely beautiful dog. He is completely house broken and knows many commands e.g. sit, stay, kennel-up, etc. He is truly the perfect dog except for one flaw, he has growled and snapped at our 11 year old and has also shown some aggression towards her mom. Around men such as myself, he is perfect and obeys and is submissive with men. The previous owner who passed away was an older gentleman who from our understanding was the person who was constantly around him, which would explain why he seems to bond to men so much but not women and children.A single man would probably be the best fit for this dog or a household without children where the wife/girlfriend has experience with dogs and can get across "Whose Boss" to "Bo".Not you're typical warm and fuzzy posting, I know but we want to be completely upfront about this dog, which the people we purchased him from were not. We want to try to provide him an opportunity with a good home because our only other choice would be to have him euthanized, which is truly the last thing that we want to do.I can say in all honesty that Bo is the best trained dog that I have ever had. He does not chew on things, grab food off the table or counter, immediately kennels up when told. He is truly the perfect dog except for as I mentioned above. I do believe if someone has experience with dog training that Bo could probably be broked on this but this is outside our area of expertise and we can't risk him snapping at the 11 year old even though the majority of the time he is fine with her.We are asking $100.00 as an adoption fee to make sure that whoever does decide to take him is serious about it.
