Hi there! I’m Aiden. I’m an older guy, but I’ve still got energy and a whole lot of love to give. My eyes aren’t as good as they were when I was a pup, I’ve got arthritis in my hips, and I’m a little hard of hearing. But, I like being with humans. I’m a great cuddler, I enjoy lounging around outside, and if you need a road trip buddy or incentive to go on a walk, I’m your guy. I’m not interested in playing with other dogs, but I don’t mind their company after some time getting used to them. Once they know my boundaries, I don’t mind being part of a pack. I have two foster dog siblings where I am now, and we’ve come to understand each other. I just want nice slow days. That said, if you’ve got them, I don’t mind cats. They seem to feel the same way as I do about space. Don’t bother me, I won’t bother you. Cats are great in my book. I like all people. With my arthritis, I’d do better in a home with older kids who understand not to be rough with me. I have lived with two little humans for the past few months. I love cuddling with the older one. He’s six. The younger one is three and tries to play a little too rough, so sometimes I have to give her a growl to ask her to back up. I can do stairs if I have to since they started me on medication, but I’d really love to just be able to walk outside and enjoy a fenced in yard at my leisure. I’m housebroken, but while I was a stray, I developed a habit of marking that I’m still trying to break, and sometimes I have accidents. I’m really good about wearing a belly band, though it’s a little embarrassing to admit I need one. It’s been hard getting older. Things aren’t like they used to be. But, I’d really like to find love again and spend the rest of my life somewhere warm and safe.
