ALIX UPDATE!!â¨Our sweet Alix is looking so good and is ready for her forever home! Alix is one of the 26 pups seized back in January from Monroe county. We were told she’s an older girl around 6-8 but now that she has healed from of the neglect she faced our guess is she’s more along the 4-5 year old range. She’s a total lap pup even with her size. She loves cuddling with her foster parents. Now that she feels better her spunky personality is showing. She loves to romp and play and sunbathe in the yard. She’s great with dogs. She does well with cats that pays her no mind but if cats are scared of her and run she will chase… not to hurt them but thinks it’s a game. We used to think a calmer household would suit this girl best but now we think she would do well with pretty much anyone. She has done great with kids too. She truly just wants to be loved. She has come so far from that mange covered emaciated girl back in January. This girl has so much love to give. She is utd, hw tested, spayed and ready for her happily ever after. Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up.Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications!
