Amara is a 6-month-old retriever mix who loves to go for walks and spend lots of time cuddling. She has already been spayed, microchipped and is current on all vaccines and preventatives. Amara is seeking a sweet stay while she recovers from an upper respiratory infection.Reason for Foster: URIFoster Time Frame: 2 weeksFoster Care Plan: Amara is currently undergoing treatment for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. There is a possibility that she is contagious to other animals, so we strongly recommend keeping her separated in a bedroom or bathroom away from your personal pets until he has fully recovered. She will go home with medication and once completed she will have a medical recheck to confirm she is well enough to move forward.Amara has been chosen for the Dogs for Better Lives Shelter to Service Dog program. She will need fostering temporarily until she has been cleared of her URI at which time she can begin her service dog training.
