Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Durham, NC Meet Archie! He is a 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 55 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Archie is fearful of strangers. No kids, cats, or dogs, due to his reactivity! He bit the owner’s husband’s uncle on the ankle when he was a year old. They were staying with family and the uncle was a stranger to Archie. This occurred while the owner’s father-in-law was walking Archie around the house on a leash (because he had been growing at the uncle) and Archie suddenly lunged without warning and bit the uncle on the ankle. Archie is currently on fluoxetine for his anxiety. The owner is surrendering him because she has a small child and he is reactive towards strangers and children. There was an incident a couple of weeks ago where he growled and lunged towards their son who was in a standing bouncer. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Archie, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions.
