Adopt Arnold a Tan/Yellow/Fawn - with White Labrador Retriever / Mixed dog in
Please contact Lia Peck ( XXXX@luckydoganimalrescue.org ) for more information about this pet. Hey, Arnold! ARNOLD NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Arnold Best Guess for Breed: Labrador mixture Best Guess for Age: two as of April 2019 SEX: male Approximate Weight: 45lbs Gets Along With: Other puppies! We don't know how he is with children or kitties yet, but we can test! Currently Living at: Shelter. Arnold would love a foster or forever home! Special adoption considerations: Arnold was heart worm positive. Heart worm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heart worm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heart worm positive should suffer no significant long term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heart worm preventative. Heart worm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Arnold is scheduled to have treatment as soon as possible so the recovery process can begin. We are happy to talk more in depth about heart worm disease and treatment during the screening process. I’m Looking For: A family who can help me forget about my life as it is now. I don't know how I ended up at this scary, lonely shelter, but everyone here keeps saying 1 day I'll be in my forever home. I don't really know what that means but I can't wait. I keep having dreams about playing fetch, taking long strolls and hikes, running around with other doggies at the park, napping on a warm, comfy couch...that sounds nice! I can't wait! What My Foster Says About Me: Stay tuned! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any particular dog is potty trained. All our dogs are working on crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption charge for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heart worm treatment.
