Meet Artemis! Hello there, I'm Artemis. I'm a handsome adult guy weighing just over 17 pounds. As one of the few males released from an Amish puppy mill, I'm feeling extra relieved from being free from that life! I'm a bit timid yet, but I'm very inquisitive and curious about humans and what they're doing. I'm just not quite sure how I should interact with them just yet, so I shouldn't live with kiddos who don't understand that. The older, the better in my book. I get along with other dogs and would do quite well if I had another dog in my forever home to teach me the ropes of my new surroundings. I'm working on going outside to do my pottying, and if I had a friend to go with me, I might catch on even faster! I haven't been around any cats, but for the right family, I could meet one and see how it goes. I have recently learned what toys are! Both squeaky toys and chew toys, but I much prefer squeaker toys and destroying them. Its so much fun, and foster mom says I have a whole graveyard of dead squeakers! I'm just learning what a leash is, and it's going okay. My forever family will have to continue working with me on that if they want me to do well with it. Otherwise, I'll need a fenced yard to make sure I stay safe. Foster mom says I'm ready to start looking for my forever home now! I'll just need to be in a home where patience and understanding is a common practice because I can't wait to be a part of a loving family and see everything that this life has to offer me, it will just take a little longer for me to understand what it's all about.
