Asia recently went on a Dog Day Out and here's what her DDO buddy had to say! "On Thursday, I got the opportunity to take the lovely Asia for a DDO! Asia is 4 years old and is 54lbs of love and affection. While out, she was given a bath, got to pick out a treat, and enjoyed a refreshing pupcup! After that, we went to a park to walk around. She loved smelling everything, meeting new people, and observing all the dogs in the area. We finished the day by spending some time at my house playing with toys and enjoying an afternoon nap on the couch. Here is some information about Asia:- Heartworm negative - She is extremely food motivated. Any time a treat was a possibility she was already sitting and waiting for her treat! She is also very gentle when she takes her treats. - Knows "sit, "shake/paw, and "down - Is an absolute angel in the car. She liked to look out the window and lay down in the backseat - Likes to lay down and watch TV with you - Loves spending time with people and did great with the kids we met while at the park - Is very playful - She can calm down while inside and take a nap. She slept on her own at the other end of the couch for a while but later joined me for some cuddle time. Ultimately, she ended up using me as a headrest for her final nap of the day. Asia has been at the shelter since 3/11/24." As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
